TAKE A MOUNTAIN DRIVE IN "05"
THE 2005 EASTERN NATIONAL MEET HIAWASSEE, GEORGIA

 The 2005 Eastern National Meet was held in Hiawassee, Georgia June 21 thruh June 24, 2005. I t was sponsored and manned by the regional Group #24 after two years of planning, meetings, many hours spent selling engine raffle tickets to raise funds and many more meetings.

The Meet Committee team consisting of husbands and wives arrived in Hiawassee, Georgia on Sunday to begin preparations for the Meet. Registrar Bob Schwartz with his wife Lynn and sister –in-law Kay ser up the registration area including several computers. The “company store” wits supply of Meet clothing and the Chinese Auction area were set up by the team of Janelle Hatcher, Mary Ann Padovano, Julie Knott, and Katie Lindquist.
The raffle engines were set up in front of the Chatuge Lodge by Barry Knott. Bob Padovano set up the operational inspection area.
Concourse area preparations began under the direction of Jerry Reichel with the assistance of Cheryl /Reichel, Jerry Grayson, Charlie Adams, Larry Tanner, and Lawson Cox.
Lamar Hart, Meet Chairman, oversaw the set up of the Welcome Tent in front of the Chatuge Lodge and the dinner tent at the Fieldstone Inn. Roy Hatcher began the process of inventorying the awards with Jerry Reichel and his registration listing. James Hall and Baxter Little , both of them helping from the regional group , set up the welcome area at the entrance to the Georgia Mountain Fair grounds.
Additional team members included: Doug and Cindy Smith, George Rawlings, Neal and Emily Freeman, Jerry and Vina McIntosh and James and Gayle Knowlson
