On Saturday January 23, there will be a tour of Historic Oakland Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. Richard Waterhouse, our tour guide, will lead a walking tour discussing the symbolism associated with decorationsmausoleums, & memorials. Architectural examples include Victorian, Greek Revival, Gothic, Neo-Classic, and Egyptian. Oakland is the oldest cemetery in Atlanta, first opened in 1850. on grave markers, mausoleums, & memorials.
