Welcome to the Georgia Regional Group #24 of the Early Ford V-8 Club of America's web site.
The Georgia Regional Group was chartered in 1969, and currently has in excess of 100 members. Most members own at least one car and many have several. There are show cars that have undergone total restoration and win awards. And there are others that are "drivers" to be simply enjoyed for what they are -- old Fords. Many of our members' drive their cars on our club's old-car functions such as the day-tours, picnics and even to meetings. Our tours are planned well in advance and are advertised in our newsletter, The Running Board. These include trips to nearby scenic and tourist sites; picnics at area attractions (such as the Great Old Time Picnic at Lake Allatoona); attendance at area old-car shows; and at least one overnight, 150-mile + trip each fall to an interesting or historical site.
The club holds a monthly general membership meeting at 7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. The meetings are held at various sites within greater Atlanta, Georgia that include businesses, civic locations and even members homes. The club welcomes new members. Ownership of an old Ford is not required, just the interest in reliving and reviving memories of the old cars is all that is necessary.
